Zavod za elektroničke sustave i obradbu informacija
Dr. sc. Christoph Baumann, izvršni urednik u izdavačkoj kući Springer Nature, održat će predavanje „Scientific Publishing Today“, u srijedu, 18. listopada 2017.g., u 10 sati, u Sivoj vijećnici Fakulteta elektrotehnike i računarstva.
U svom predavanju, dr. Baumann će govoriti o znanstvenoj publicistici, uz pregled i preporuke mlađim autorima o uspješnoj pripremi publikacija za znanstvene časopise i autorstvu znanstvenih knjiga. Predstaviti će izdavaštvo kao „industriju“ sa svojim načinima vođenja poslovanja. Govoriti će i o tome kako izdavač Springer vidi Hrvatsku kao generatora znanstvenog sadržaja.

Christoph Baumann

Christoph Baumann graduated in Physics at University of Cologne, Germany. During his PhD studies, he worked at Cologne University, Parma University (Italy), and finally he received his PhD degree (Dr. rer. nat.) in Solid State Physics from RWTH Aachen University in 2004. He continued working in academia as a Postdoc at the Leibniz-Institute for Solid State and Materials Research Dresden (Germany) – IFW Dresden – before he started his carreer as an academic publisher.
Since 2005 Christoph Baumann is Editor for Engineering and Applied Sciences at Springer. He started as Associate Editor at Springer Heidelberg, Germany , succeeded the carreer path through Editor and Senior Editor. In 2012 he took over the responsibility for the editorial group on Physical Sciences in the newly started Singapore office, and started his position as Executive Editor in Singapore in 2015.
As a publishing editor, Christoph Baumann is acquiring content for several academic journals, scientific monographs, textbooks, and reference works.
